How It Works
Crystal deodorants use potassium alum, a naturally occurring mineral salt, to help protect against odour rather than the aluminium chlorohydrate compounds found in many conventional antiperspirants. It's worth knowing that potassium alum is still a mineral salt containing aluminium, just a different compound to aluminium chlorohydrate, so this is a deodorant marketed on what it leaves out of the conventional antiperspirant formula rather than being aluminium-free altogether.
