Why Chicory And Carob
Roasted chicory and carob are traditional coffee substitutes, roasted to develop a rich, dark flavour similar to coffee without the caffeine, acidity or bitterness. Because it doesn't contain the sugar, caffeine or stimulants found in coffee or some other alternatives, it's designed not to trigger the jitters or disrupt sleep the way coffee can.
How To Use It
For a long or short black, put a teaspoon in your mug and add your desired amount of boiled water, just like instant coffee. For instant coffee style, add boiled water and top with your favourite milk or dairy alternative. For a latte or cappuccino, dissolve a teaspoon in 30 to 40ml of boiled water, then top with frothed or steamed milk. Adjust the strength by adding more or less powder, water or milk. It can also be enjoyed cold or iced.
