Qunol Mega CoQ10 Ubiquinol 100 mg contains a water soluble form of ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10. It is available in 60 and 100 softgel bottles and is taken as one softgel a day with or after a meal.
What is water soluble ubiquinol?
Qunol states that, unlike regular forms of CoQ10, Qunol Mega is both water and fat soluble, so it provides superior absorption. Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10, the antioxidant that protects the body's cells from free radical damage, and about 95% of the CoQ10 found in the body is in the form of ubiquinol. Most CoQ10 supplements contain ubiquinone, which first needs to be absorbed and then converted by the body into ubiquinol. As we age, the body's ability to convert ubiquinone into ubiquinol diminishes significantly.
Ubiquinol and statin medicines
Qunol notes that cholesterol-lowering statin drugs can deplete the body's natural levels of CoQ10, and states that Qunol can help replenish CoQ10 lost due to statin drug therapy. If you take a statin, speak with your doctor or pharmacist before adding a supplement, and do not change your medication yourself.

How to use it
