Why Dandelion And Chicory Root
Roasted dandelion and chicory root are commonly used as a coffee substitute for their earthy, roasted flavour without caffeine, and here they're used the same way as a base for chai instead of black tea. Combined with freshly ground masala spices, they give this blend a genuinely chai-like depth of flavour rather than tasting like a compromise.
How To Brew It
Add half a mug of boiling water per person to a pot, then add 1 tablespoon of chai per person. Low simmer for up to 5 minutes, then add half a mug of milk per person and heat until you can just see the steam rising. Strain and enjoy. Each 125g pack gives around 9 servings at 14g per serve.
