What's Inside
Each 6 drop serving (0.30 mL) provides a 14.25 mg organic probiotic blend delivering 2 billion CFU of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Lactobacillus reuteri, Bifidobacterium infantis and Bifidobacterium longum. Lactobacillus reuteri in particular has been studied specifically in relation to infant colic, and Bifidobacterium infantis is one of the dominant strains naturally found in a breastfed baby's gut. The only other ingredients are organic MCT oil, from fractionated coconut oil, and Vitamin E. CFU stands for colony forming units, essentially a count of live, active organisms in each dose, and a guaranteed count through expiration means the label figure should hold up rather than dropping off before you finish the bottle. Because of the coconut oil, this product contains coconut, which is labelled as a tree nut allergen. The formula is USDA certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, sugar-free, soy-free and dairy-free, third-party tested, and made in Canada.
How to Use It
The suggested use is 6 drops once daily, dispensed onto a spoon or added to a bottle, food or drink. Avoid letting the dropper touch skin or saliva to prevent contamination, and never administer this product by putting the bottle directly into your baby's mouth. Don't add it to hot food or drink, since heat will damage the live probiotic strains.
Good to Know Before You Start
Store in a cool, dry place at 75°F (24°C) or below, and you can refrigerate it after opening if you prefer, though this isn't required.
