Description
Wearable Silicone Collection Cups, 24mm & 28mm
Pumping doesn't have to mean standing next to your pump for twenty minutes with tubing and bottles hanging off you. Silicone Collection Cups by Legendairy Milk replace the standard flange, connector and bottle setup on your electric pump with a wearable, closed-system cup that sits inside your bra, so your hands and your day are free while you pump. Traditional pump setups can mean standing in one spot, holding bottles steady and watching tubing the whole session, which isn't always realistic with a toddler underfoot or a workday to get through. A wearable cup system tucks everything into your bra instead, so you can move around, fold washing, or answer emails while you pump.
What's in the Box
Each pack includes 2 collection cups, Y-shaped tubing, 2 silicone membranes, 2 membrane caps, 2 valve bases, 4 duckbill valves, and both 24 mm and 28 mm silicone breast shields, so you can find your fit without buying separate flanges. The breast shields, duckbill valves and backflow membranes are made from food-grade frosted silicone, while the valve bases, membrane caps and cup bodies are BPA-free plastic. Each cup holds up to 8 fl oz (240 mL) of milk, and the cups are designed to connect to your existing electric pump rather than replacing it, with adapters available for many popular pump brands. If a strap-on pumping bra is more your style, you can also wear these cups underneath one for extra security, though the closed system and finger grip cup design are built to hold securely inside a well fitted regular bra on their own.
How to Use Them
To use, assemble the cup with the flange, valve, duckbill and membrane in place, then connect the tubing to your pump as you normally would. Stay upright rather than bending over while pumping, and keep the cups upright when removing or carrying them to avoid spills.
Care and Maintenance
Before first use, boil all parts except the tubing for 3 minutes. After each use, hand wash in warm soapy water and air dry on a clean rack, avoiding steam sterilisers and harsh detergents. Duckbill valves are generally replaced every 1 to 2 months and membranes every 4 months with regular use, so it's worth keeping spares on hand. Keep all parts away from infants and children, as small pieces are a choking hazard.
Our Pumping Spray is a natural companion if you want to reduce friction against the flange while you're at it. Add Silicone Collection Cups to your pumping setup if hands-free, wearable pumping sounds like it would make your day easier.
